Have You Ever…

Did you ever get into a surfacing project and run into a problem you didn’t know how to solve? This is why the Surfacing Episode has been written. There are 10 examples that walk you through the decision making process where things don’t always go right the first time. What do you do when the side of your boot just caves in? What do you do when you change planes and a sketch flips out? What do you do when a Fill surface just won’t work? Where would you even start a project like modeling a boot?

The Surfacing Episode is just a book-length website that has a lot of information on it. I decided to put the update to the old SolidWorks Surfacing and Complex Shape Modeling Bible onto a website so its easier to update, and you can add data like live download parts and in-line videos. Plus, I can respond to comments on the site. It’s more like a book than a blog, but its all electronic. You get your own login and can access it from any device, but I recommend something the size of a tablet or larger so the images are intelligible. In fact, its nice to have it up on a tablet next to your computer running the sample files in SolidWorks.
