More News on Solid Edge Community
If you’ve been around the Solid Edge community much, you know the name Luc Poulin. Luc is one of the most energetic guys you could ever hope to meet, and he puts a lot of that energy into the Solid Edge community. Luc’s latest exploit is a nascent site called Solid Edge Social Community. Click on the image to link to the site. SESC as it’s bound to be called has room on it for open access forums, a blog aggregator, a wiki, an area for social events, a calendar, a gallery, and an area for upload/download data. This is a site set up by Edge Community members for edge community members. If you’re already familiar with the BBSnotes/GTAC site, Luc’s site is different mainly in that it is completely open to anyone regardless if you are on subscription or not.
Social sites like this live and die on participation. Check out the site, kick the tires, and start saying Hi to other Edgers out there. I really want to see this site thrive, since its specifically dedicated to Solid Edge users. The site will shortly have a lot of information about some of the new energy in Solid Edge user groups.
Speaking of new Solid Edge user groups, the old group in Hunstville, Alabama is being revived, with the next meeting coming on February 13. Dave doesn’t know this yet, but I may be coming to the meeting.
Matt Johnson is leading another group, meeting on March 13 in Cincinnati (can’t spell that name for the life of me). He has more details here.
