New Episodes Change Log
Now that the Episodes site is fully launched, I’ve implemented a simple Change Log. This just tells when certain things have been added to the software. If you’ve been reading the site, it might be a good idea to keep up on the change log to see if there have been changes to topics you’ve already read. For example, there have been some changes in the way that SolidWorks handles nested absorbed features, and I’ve changed the chapter related to that material. Stuff like a composite curve over a helix and projected curve used in a sweep.
Or there were some smaller changes, like the fact that in the last several releases, Split will now work on surface bodies in addition to solid bodies.
This is one of the huge advantages of a course laid out electronically instead of printed books.
Then there was the change of adding a bit on the Deform feature to the Surface Manipulation chapter. I just came across this great example of Deform, and decided to add it.
Also Alin Vargatu, who is helping me with technical editing, suggested that I add the Part Reviewer to my Evaluation chapter, and that was added, along with some other stuff enabling better use of the FeatureManager for evaluating parts.
Plus, readers are making suggestions, and leaving comments which get immediate attention from me.
You owe it to yourself and your career to check out this website. You can get a 1 month trial for $7.50. Can’t beat that. There’s more stuff than you can read in a month for sure.
