Solid Mentor

Here’s a great SolidWorks resource for you – SolidMentor. This is from Ben Eadie, the crazy Canadian. I met Ben for the first time at SW World, and he was definitely a hoot to hang out with. Hey, he’s Canadian, he drinks beer, he can’t be all bad.\n\nBen has done a tonne (metric ton for you gringos) of work on this site, and it’s just in beta, but there’s lots of stuff. He has no advertisements, so I like it better than “the rest”. The site is fresh, so you can help build content. He’s doing logins, “No Bozos” – don’t be a bozo. He’s got a SolidWorks Wiki, which I can’t wait to see blossom. Anyway, it’s great stuff, and you can help build it, and it’s not in your face with advertisements. Plus, it’s Ben, who’s a great guy, and gets involved with the coolest SolidWorks design projects, so support what he does.\n\nOther stuff you can find on SolidMentor: picture album, votes/polls, calendar for user group events and stuff, private messages, weblinks, a bunch of blogs are syndicated on SolidMentor, and of course the forums.\n\nI’m going to try to hang out at SolidMentor and keep an eye on what develops and maybe try to help Ben get something started here.
