Submit a video of your model being changed successfully or even just of you struggling with your changes. They have a bunch of prizes, including Spaceclaim licenses and a laptop computer with Spaceclaim loaded on it. This is both a way to show off and a way to “stump the chump”. Show them what kind of changes you want to be able to make.\n\nThey’ve also got a bit of a sense of humor. Try them out. Send them a serious struggle.

Why all the hype about Spaceclaim? Non-parametric modeling is coming back into vogue again. Google SketchUp probably did more than any of the others to popularize 3D direct geometry creation for the masses, and completely avoid the highly process based nature of parametrics, yet its as simple as can be to use. PTC is in the process of purchasing CoCreate, and you’re starting to see KeyCreator ads around more frequently. Rhino is a perennial favorite non-parametric surfacing program. Spaceclaim is the new kid on the block, but with a more accessible interface than the others, other than SketchUp. It’s a reaction against the complexity of parametric modelers.   Spaceclaim is also trying to tap the non-CAD using market.
