Scratch that Curiosity Itch at SEU14
Solid Edge University is the annual user conference for Solid Edge users around the world. If you’re curious about what’s going on with the technology that’s the next big thing in CAD, this is one place where you can see all you need to see, talk to all the people you want to talk to, in one place. The Solid Edge executive team are all easy to find, and yes, they will make time to talk to regular people like you. The product definition people are also folks you’ll want to meet, and maybe even the people who manage the channel.
Most of all, though, the halls will be full of regular folks who currently use the software just like you. If you do machine design, Solid Edge is keyed in to this line of work. Synchronous Technology will simplify your overall workload by decreasing the complexity of file management and relationships between parts in your assemblies. Solid Edge also handles large assemblies better than your aging history-only system.
SEU won’t cost you what other CAD conferences cost. It’s being held in Atlanta this year, so getting there is easy. You can get a direct flight from just about anywhere. Plus, the straight up admission cost is quite a bit lower. At those other conferences, you get “gifts” that aren’t gifts at all, you’re paying for them whether you want them or not. SEU is a little more practical.
The core dates are May 12-14, with extra days for the developer’s day and Femap Symposium. Registration isn’t live yet, but you can get on the mailing list so you are the first to know.
