I’ve been writing a couple of articles lately on CAD Admin and related topics. I’m trying to put together a series of topics. These are being published at EngineersRule.com.

  1. I liked your CAD Admin article. Your comment about “If you want the job . . .” was amusing, as I didn’t want the job, but I did want someone to do it.

If you ever update the article, I’d add a paragraph on “Enforcing Model Performance”. I have written many standards, held many classes, and sent many broadcast emails, all to little result. This last project I have been hosting a weekly half-hour meeting of all the project mechanical engineers, and mostly all we do is go through the Performance Evaluation of our top level assembly. I don’t have to growl or rant, just quietly ask who owns this thing with the 1400 face appearances. Most of the engineers are glad we are doing it. This is our first project with a top level assembly you can open and use.
